Biltmore
Oil has become a leading wholesale gasoline supplier
for commercial, government and retail customers. The company was originally
a distributor for Atlantic Richfield Company, but in 1973 ARCO withdrew
from the Southeastern market. At that time, Biltmore Oil, under the
leadership of President Joe Eblen, entered into private label contracts
with several quality refineries and began marketing EBLEN brand gasoline.
This arrangement results in the establishment of the first EBLEN retail
dealerships, both independent and company-owned. Today, new dealerships
may be branded independent, Citgo or Pure. To these new stores, Biltmore
Oil is able to provide the benefit of its own experience in store design,
building and upgrading.
